My Story

Looking for some cat company? Perhaps one that doesn’t necessarily need to be picked up or touched, but who can watch TV next to you on the sofa or a cat tree? Well meow, meow, everyone! I’m Celine, a young brown, loving tabby cat named after the singer of “My Heart Will Go On”, Celine Dion. I was found as a stray when my Foster Meowmy saw me outside and one night decided to set up a trap with the intentions of giving me a chance at a forever home. I got lucky, and it turned out to be a success! I was so happy to kiss my hardscrabble life behind! Once I adjusted to brimming food bowls, clean water, soft beds, and other amenities of indoor life, my Foster Meowmy became my hero. I adjusted beautifully to the dynamics of my foster home, wasting no time before I began playing with the other foster felines of all ages. I roam free around the house, holding my tail straight up while walking (This is my sign to let you all know that I am feeling confident, content, and happy). I like to play with toys, but I love spending time with other cats and kitties, enjoying their company; especially when we are all watching squirrels and birds through the windows. My favorite spots to hang around and sleep are human beds and cat towers. I like people company around me, but I'm not ready to cuddle up yet. I’m a little shy and have been working on socialization for some time. I don't hiss or fight, but I’m still a little hesitant to trust humans to the fullest, though I have gained some progress. I’m just the timid kind of pet that you can admire and love without the need of being too affectionate to people. However, my foster mom believes that with a little more time, patience, and social interactions, I can finally be able to fully trust people. I am low-maintenance and don’t demand a lot, but I will give so much in return. There are advantages to adopting a young kitty like me who’s past the stage of kitten mayhem. For example, I’m much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break your treasured accessories. I have perfect scratching-post as well as litter-box manners. I hope that you and I can write a lovely new chapter in our lives together!
