CATCHER, aptly named for his big front polydactyl catcher mitt paws, is a loving lounge kitty. Catcher is a laid-back cat looking for a laid-back loving home where he can hang out and partake in a lotta love. He is a most puursonable and affectionate kitty who loves to be with his human(s). When not with his people, Catcher entertains himself with his toys, throwing them in the air, catching them with his big ol' mitt paws and chasing them. He starts the day by giving morning hugs and then follows you around to get more hugs throughout the day. In fact, he will follow you and when you stop, walk in front of you and roll over on his back so you can scratch his tummy. If you haven't been around him for a while, and he sees you coming, he will jump in his big bed and roll over on his back so you can scratch his tummy. In the evening, after his dinner, he gets into his hammock and lies on his back to relax and let everything digest. Catcher is a very entertaining and loving boy and will make a great companion. Catcher is a snuggler so he is likely going to want to sleep with you.
Catcher was taken off the streets of Independence, MO, so nothing is known about his past. The people who found and took care of him until he was rescued said he just showed up and was the sweetest boy from day one. It is possible he was left behind when someone moved. He has been around a couple of other very calm/loving foster kitties and didn't seem to mind so he may likely be okay with another good-natured cat with proper introductions. He has also been around his foster Mom's very cat-friendly dog and didn't seem to mind, but we are not sure how he will do with other dogs.
Catcher will do best in a mature home or one with older, cat-savvy children (12+).
Catcher was born approximately July 21, 2022, and his adoption fee is $125, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweet boy at our adoption center this weekend!
You can visit our adoptable cats and kittens during weekend business hours at our adoption center, address and times above. During the week, all our kitties live in licensed foster homes, and while most do come to the adoption center each weekend, not every kitty attends every weekend.
