ADOPTION PENDING
Hi there; I’m Casey and I feel like the luckiest cat in the world! I don’t remember the first few years of my life, but for the past 2 years I have been living as a stray in a crawlspace outside of a run down apartment building. Then, one day I walked into a trap and my life changed! A nice woman who lived in the building had taken a liking to me and alerted a rescue group that I needed help. I was trapped, taken to get my shots, neutered, and brought up to par health! I think I am between 4-5 years young!
As you can see by my photos, my years as a stray scrounging for food and beating cold winters may have taken a toll on my appearance, but not my spirit! My little ears are permanently curled down from frostbitten winters and chronic ear mites and I also lost 2 teeth along the way. I am strong spirit though and I never gave up hope—my foster mom calls me a survivor and everyone I meet adores me for my warm nature despite all I have been through. I still have a sensitive tummy from adjusting to cat food, so I am on a special cat food diet for the time being. This issue may subside in time as I become more accustomed to cat food. A full blood panel was done and there is no medical basis for my tummy problems. Yay!
I am currently being fostered in a home with 2 other cats and a dog. Initially I did really well with everyone, adjusting instantly to my new home. However, I have began to display poor social skills toward other cats. I am so sweet to humans and dogs though!
I get along great with the dog who lives with us. I follow my foster mom everywhere and cuddle up with her every night. To show my mom how appreciative I am of her home, I give her kisses (tiny licks to groom her) while she sleeps. I even sleep resting my head on a pillow next to my mom and her dog and try to snuggle into her arms. This is my first time living in a home and I feel like a prince! I have never had comfort, love and affection, and regular meals! I am so happy I could burst!!!
I need a forever home where I will be given the love and affection I crave. For now, I might be best as an only cat, but dogs are okay! I love them! Please consider me!
From my foster mom: Casey is the most wonderful cat I have ever known. He is a special boy and anyone would be lucky to have him. He will be loyal to you forever and kiss the ground you walk on. He seems to know how lucky he is to be in a home and is so appreciative! If you are looking for a loyal companion, he is the cat for you!
The adoption fee for this cat is $145, which covers the cost of routine vet care, as well as spay/neuter surgery. Cassadine tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
