My name is Carter. I was born on April 12, 2008. My mother was having trouble delivering me and my 2 brothers and one sister. Instead of taking my mom to the vet, her owners took her to Animal Control to have her (and all four of us babies) put to sleep. Companion Animal Rescue League (CARL) did an emergency rescue and the wonderful doctor and assistants at Banfield Animal Hospital did an emergency c-section on my mom and delivered all four of us kittens. We all survived but my mom was too weak to care for us, so we were raised by our CARL foster mom, Joy, and our surrogate mom, Sophie, who had two 3 ½ week old kittens that she was nursing. I am an adorable black and gray striped/spotted tabby with big gold eyes. I love to play really hard and then snuggle up beside you for a nap. I’m up to date on my shots and I have been neutered and micro-chipped. I get along really well with other cats and I like children. I haven’t really met any dogs yet, but I’m sure I’d like them too! I’m ready to go to my forever home and entertain my new family. Won’t you take me home?
