My Story

Carrot Cake is a delectable female orange tabby, rescued in the Bronx by an urban park ranger who found this poor girl shivering, curled up under a car to escape the rain. Carrot Cake was brought to the ACC, but she was not doing well in the shelter, so a compassionate rescuer pulled her out, got her eating well, oversaw her spay and nice dental polish, and now has seen the amazing Carrot Cake's personality blossom! Her rescuer describes her as "a perfect companion." She's a social girl, even with strangers, always seeking to be petted (let her sniff your hand first, and then she's all yours!) She's devoted to her person, a super lovebug who will sit on your lap or chill next to you. Being petted or brushed are activities that delight her, and she'll make cute chirping sounds to express her joy a seeing you. Equally adorable is how she'll extend her paw out to you when she wants affection, even putting her paws on your shoulders or chest to return the love by nuzzling you! Carrot Cake is a moderate energy cat, not a super fan of toys ... but does love to roll around with her catnip fish! This gentle, calm, lovebug is fine with other cats (but does not like dogs) or can be the sole object of your affection! The ACC estimated her age as 5 years old, but that was when she looked her worst, and she may in fact be younger. If her winning personality were not enough, consider that she is a rarity: Only 1 in 5 orange cats are female! Carrot Cake is FIV and FeLV negative, spayed, and up-to-date on shots.
