Hi! My name is Captain and as you can see, I’ve had a very hard life. Some people have told me I’m ugly because of it, but I try not to let them bother me! I’m 11 years old now, but when I was a kitten I got stuck in a car engine and ended up losing one of my legs. More recently, my owners passed away and their family couldn’t take me. Somehow my eye got so injured in the house that it needed to be removed. I almost didn’t make it, but these really nice people nursed me back to health- and I fought hard to get healthy because I love life so much!
I might only have 3 legs and one eye, but I do NOT let that stop me!! I can be nervous with new people at first, but you can win me over fast with food. I LOVE to eat and talk to you, I will purr and raise my booty while I eat! Once I really like you I love to be petted and purr even when I’m not eating. I also get around just fine, I can even chase string toys around the room and get to the top of the cat tree! I LOVE to play with toys and catnip especially is my favorite.
I do get a monthly arthritis shot to help me out, just because having 3 legs my whole life has been rough on my joints. But you could also just put joint supplements on my food instead- I’m an older guy so I need a little help! I also do fine with other cats, as long as they respect my space I coexist with them just fine. Will you be the one to be my forever family? I promise if you give me the time to warm up I’ll be the best friend you ever had. I may be missing some things, but I make up for it with lots of love. We can have lots of movie (and snack) nights cuddling together if you take me home.
