My Story

Candi is a sweet, loving, wonderful, quiet and lovely mom kitty. She and her 7 newborn kittens were destined for euthanasia at Animal Control because the babies were too small for adoption. When we saw how amazing they all were and how Candi loved her babies, we couldn't leave them behind. We managed to find room for them in our foster program. When the babies got older, Candi and one of the kittens, Catzie, tested positive for feline leukemia. They have always been the picture of health and are currently living in the sanctuary. Candi and Catzie are special girls - both are manx kitties but have not ever had any medical issues because of this or because of their leukemia status. They love each other and continue to be bonded as mother and kitten. We would REALLY love for these special little tail-less girls to go to their own loving forever home and have a chance at living a loving, happy cat life. They are healthy and leukemia positive cats can live healthy lives for several years - sometimes even a normal lifespan. The virus is contagious, though, so they would need to be the only cats in their environment. Stop by our location at 1145 N Woodland Ave, Tucson, AZ 85712 on Saturdays from noon to 4pm to meet this sweetheart and her daughter Catzie!
