My Story

Name: Campion Age: About 5 years Breed: Tabby Reason for being at shelter: Owner passed away Description: Campion is a male brown tabby, about 5 years old. He’s a friendly lap cat and likes to burrow himself inside blankets. He needs time to warm up to people, but eventually is quite interactive. He has beautiful tabby markings and light green eyes. Now that he’s at Kitty City, he either finds blankets to burrow under or a cubby of a cat tree. Eventually, he comes out of hiding and presents himself to be that friendly lap cat that his foster parents experienced with him. He may quickly retreat back to his cubby but certainly enjoys his people time. Campion is a very sweet kitty and is playful, too. Campion is one of a household of cats that were taken into a foster home after the owner passed away. The owner loved them a lot but as his health faded, he was no longer able to properly care for the cats anymore. They were in rough shape, severely underweight, and flea infested. Since being placed into a foster home, they have done really well and have mostly recovered from their poor health plight and are now ready for adoption. These cats have lived together since they were kittens. Although only two of the group, Jasper and Ted, are actual littermates, they all get along well and are sociable with each other. They are all very sweet and easily make friends despite some initial shyness. They would benefit most from being adopted as pairs or by joining other cat(s) in a home. This group lived in an adult household. Their exposure to dogs and/or kids is unknown but is probably unlikely so they would do best in an adult home. Potential adopters can either fill out an online adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to meet the animal or visit with the cat in person during public visiting hours. An application can be found on our website using this link https://www.ophumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application. Please allow a few business days for us to process your application. We screen applicants for the first BEST fit for each animal. If you are approved, you will be contacted by us via phone or email to schedule an appointment.
