My Story

Can't adopt but want to help? Please contact [email protected] to find out about sponsorship, fostering, and other ways you can help this cat! Please note that financial sponsorship will be applied to the specific cat you indicate unless it is not needed, at which time we will let you designate it for another HT animal of your choice.

You can save animals like Callie by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please click here and email the questionnaire to [email protected].

Callie is a black, short hair, declawed cat. He is about a year old, so he still has plenty of kitten curiosity! Callie had a pretty good life with lots of toys and love until his owner got a boyfriend with allergies. So Callie was sent to live with his “grandparents.” Unfortunately, the resident cats there don’t appreciate Callie’s kitten antics or want to play with him. These old, crotchety cats have forced Callie into isolation. Because of this, he isn’t getting all the love and attention he deserves and is looking for a new forever home.
Callie has the energy kitten and absolutely loves to play with toys and run around the house. But once he is all played out, he loves to curl up for love. Callie also requires that his new home have a large bed, he likes to stretch out and steal the covers!
Callie has dealt well with a visiting puppy and could possibly do well with cats that are more inclined to play with him, but he might do best as an only cat.

The adoption fee for this cat is $150, which covers the cost of routine vet care, as well as spay/neuter surgery.
