Meet Callie! She came into the shelter after her owner lost their home. She has lived with children between the ages of 5 and 9 years old and has been friendly. She has been around other cats and dogs and seems to be nervous around them. She seems to be an independent gal! Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal into the home. It can take weeks or months for animals to settle into their new environment, so time and patience are your best tools. It is not recommended to bring a new animal into the home and immediately introduce it to resident pets. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Callie loves to play with string toys and be brushed by her person. Any necessary supplies or toys can be purchased from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care.
