CALCIFER - Special Needs

Meet Calcifer, a special kitten in search of a compassionate and experienced caregiver! Calcifer's unique condition involves neurological trauma, which requires him to receive hand expression 2-3 times daily for both urination and defecation. Currently, he is being fostered by a skilled veterinary technician who understands his needs. An individual with prior experience in expressing bladders would be best suited to provide the specialized care Calcifer requires. Daily medications are also part of Calcifer's routine. They can be easily administered by mixing them into his food, aiding in smoother expression and managing his mega-colon. Fortunately, Calcifer eagerly devours his wet food, making medication a breeze. Despite his condition, Calcifer is an active little kitty who can run, jump, and play just like any other feline companion. While Calcifer may be a bit shy initially, he quickly adjusts to people and forms strong bonds once he feels comfortable in his home. Other animals do not seem to bother him once he settles in.
