Cal

The great Cal Ripken, Jr. said, “You could be a kid for as long as you want when you play baseball.” This was a guy who was called “the Iron Man” because he played a record 2,632 straight games in 21 seasons with the Baltimore Orioles. He was an excellent hitter and a stellar fielder as well. Gee, that gives a cat named Cal something to aim for! I can play like a kitten for a long, long time! I’m a brown tabby and white adult male who’s estimated to be 1 ½ years old. I came to Paws and Claws from the Carriage House Animal Hospital in Kasson. I had been found as a stray, and the nice folks at the vet clinic treated me for an injured left front paw, but later the leg had to be amputated. I’ve been on the “injured list,” and unlike the Iron Man, Mr. Ripken, I’ll need some slow rehab as a “tripod” kitty. I’m a mellow guy who likes to play. I’m quite gregarious, and I love people. I’ve adjusted quickly to being in this new place, and I’ve been doing well with the new cats in my “locker room”. I make a pretty good teammate! So, who wants to “sign” me to a long-term contract? I’ll still be able to play on three legs! I think a lifetime contract sounds great. I’ll settle for a payment of lots of good food, loads of love and attention, plus fun toys to play with, plenty of snuggles, and all the joy of being your special boy for years to come!
