Cade

Cade transferred to us from Cobb Co Animal Services. He had been at that facility for about 2 months when we met him and pulled him to come with us! Cade went to foster care to decompress for a bit until it was time to come back to Good Mews. He is a confident guy who is often on the go and very curious about his surroundings. Sometimes he does think about darting out the door so his family will want to keep a close eye on that. Hopefully, once he knows he's home he won't want to leave! He allows you to pick him up, but Cade can get overstimulated and swat or nip. This happens more if you go to touch his paws. He might do better without young kids and Cade doesn't seem too fond of dogs! Cade does well with easygoing cats. He is very loyal and will sit on your lap, chest or beside you when lounging around. Wand toys and balls are his favorite toys! This handsome guy is going to be a great friend for an experienced cat owner. We have noticed that Cade will sometimes have inappropriate urination so we've started him on a behavior medication to help with this issue. We expect Cade would prefer a home without so many kitties so we are optimistic this won't continue in his new home. Cade was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and takes a medication to manage this issue. We recommend rechecking his T4 each year along with annual bloodwork. Cade had all of his teeth removed during 2 different procedures. During the first, he sustained a fracture to his jaw which has since healed and he's doing well despite all of this work on his mouth! Cade's favorite food is Sheba Pate' so his new family will want to stock up!
