He comes the middle of the night and snuggles down to share my dreams. I reach over to touch him and know exactly who it is even without opening my eyes. His short hair is so soft. He doesn’t mean to disturb my sleep so he lays very still until I doze off again. In the morning he is the first to nuzzle my check and whisper his purrs in my ear. If I try to rise, he lays his head on my chest insisting I stay a bit longer. When I get out of bed, he puts his paws on my shoulder and rubs his head on my cheek and purrs his bubbling purr in my ear. Yet, once I am up for the day, he goes about his business and lets me take care of mine. He’s not the clingy type. Not the jealous type. Not demanding at all. Just a little cat food and a soft place to lie, a few toys for play and his needs are met.
