Buddy (FIV+)

Buddy is a 1-year-old, super playful and sweet cat looking for his forever home! Buddy is a very curious kitty that likes to follow the humans around and watch whatever it is they’re doing. At the moment, he’s especially fascinated by water. If he hears a sink or shower running, he’ll be right beside ya before you know it to watch and take a few sips if he’s feeling brave. He jumps at any opportunity there is to play and goes crazy for any toy he can chase. He has the most fun with string toys, sometimes he gets so amped he can’t help but hit the smoothest front roll. When Buddy’s in the mood to rest, he’ll often sleep by one of his humans, on their beds or by a window. Ever so often he’ll lounge on the cat tree to sunbathe but usually keeps it short up there and gets back to his job supervising everyone. Buddy is a high energy kitty and so he loves to zoom about. If he hears a bell on a string toy or the crinkle of plushie he’ll hop out of any slumber to pounce. Buddy currently lives with 4 humans and a cat. Buddy does well with older cat savvy kids. He does well with cats. It’s unknown how he does with dogs. His Ideal home is one where he'd get the attention and affection he loves. He has lots of energy and lots of playtime would be appreciated by him. Buddy is living with another kitty at the moment who he does well with. He tries to engage him in play and approach him in a friendly manner which is not being reciprocated at the moment. This does lead us to believe that Buddy would greatly benefit from having a buddy! Buddy is FIV+. He currently taking iron and B12 supplements. He’s doing well on them and the need for the supplements may change. If you looking for a young, playful friend to add to your home then consider Buddy! Buddy is FIV+, but that doesn’t mean he can’t live a long, normal, and healthy life! Cats with FIV commonly have average lifespans. Because FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds, FIV positive cats are able to live with FIV negative cats in stable social environments. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
