Medical/Behavioral needs: Buddy is FIV+. FIV is a feline-only retrovirus that affects a cat’s immune system. He is currently asymptomatic and in good health. An adopter should be aware that FIV can make a cat more vulnerable to other medical issues because their immune system is not as strong as an FIV negative cat. FIV is not transferable to humans or dogs and can only be transferred to other cats through a deep cat bite.
Animal Characteristics: Buddy is a gentle giant who is super sweet, cuddly, affectionate, makes lots of biscuits and loves being pet, but he’s also content when resting quietly by himself. His cute, high pitched meows do not match his chunky boy appearance when he asks for food or more petting!
