Happy Summer! Kitten Season is in full swing again and we need to make room to get Moms and kittens (and older kitties too!) so we can get them fixed and find them homes! Please consider adopting- especially some of our older residents! Remember you save TWO cats lives and make countless more cats & kittens lives better by adopting! Brioche is domestic short calico spayed female, up to date on her shots, around 3 year old and available for adoption to be an indoor ONLY cat from Griffith Animal Control/Treasured Friends Rescue in Highland Northwest Indiana. Hello! I'm Brioche! My name comes from a fancy French bread but I'm far from a fancy kitty. Although everyone likes their sandwich on a brioche bun, right? So my name kinda fits! Since I'm sure you will like me! Before the shelter, I came from a very unfancy place where I was living outside with other kitties. We were all hungry and constantly looking for food. I can't tell you how many kittens I've had, but it's quite a few. And I wasn't the only kitty having kittens too. We did have a nice person trying to feed us, but since me and my girls just kept having kittens it was hard to keep up. Finally this nice person got some help for me and the other mamas and now I'm at the shelter looking for my forever home! I can't tell you how grateful I am to be inside and thankful I'm done being a mama! I can finally relax! I'm always warm with a full belly of yummy kitty food now and don't have to worry about having and health issues since I'm spayed now. I was a little afraid when I got to the shelter and I might be a little afraid in a new home but once I know I'm safe and loved, I love people! So hopefully I'll be getting my forever home soon! I don't need much, just a soft spot to lay, some food and lots of love! I want a home so much so I can finally be a kitten! I know I'm not a kitten anymore but I still want to play and get love and affection too! I can't wait until I find my forever home! I have lots of love to give to someone who wants to give this retired mamma a chance. I hope you'll consider me! I would love to meet you! Our fosters & volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to get them used to being pet and to show them no one will hurt them. However, when they go to a new home, some kitties will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
