My Story

BRAUN is a stately gentleman that visualizes his ideal life on a nice warm lap in a quiet home. Make no mistake, this serene loving guy loves to hang out in your lap while he offers you love with every bone in his body. He makes a great companion and is there anytime you have a need to pet his soft fur. His favorite pastime is looking out windows; however, he has no desire to go past the glass.

Braun has smoky gray fur that makes him look like a stuffed bear. He has a very easy-going temperament and gets along fine with dogs; however, he's probably not suited in a home with a puppy or young children.

Braun was previously adopted but unfortunately was returned because his former owner was recently married and his new stepson developed allergies around Braun. This loving guy is once again ready for a new home where he can love and be loved.

Braun is eligible as part of our Mature Companions Program.

Our Mature Companions program is designed to strengthen and promote the human-animal bond for senior humans and senior felines.

Cats 8 years and older can have a fairly difficult time of getting adopted when competing with younger cats and kittens. Additionally, senior cats often experience depression when they enter the shelter. Being adopted by a senior human (60 years and older) who understands their calm nature and need for companionship is a perfect match for these senior cats.

  • Follow-up visits at the senior’s residence by the adoption counselor or other CAT volunteer
  • Access to Adoption Counselors for any questions or concerns
