Boots - Female DOB 2/13/2023 Domestic Short Hair Calico - Meet Boots! Boots is a beautiful calico with a shy disposition, slowly learning to trust humans. She approaches for attention but until she is comfortable with her surroundings, sometimes retreats when you try to pet her, still uncertain of people's intentions. She has become more and more trusting of the volunteers at the rescue and will now roll over and loving pets. Boots has had a rough past: her first adopter neglected her medical needs, her second left her abandoned, and now she's looking for her forever home. Boots is independent, alert, and loves running and playing. She appreciates attention on her terms and needs time to build trust. While she isn't fond of being picked up, she becomes calm once relaxed and confident. Boots is gentle during play and was good with young children in her southern foster home. She'll follow you around and loves belly rubs once she's comfortable. Boots doesn't like other kitties or dogs, and her ideal home is one where she's the only pet, with patient and respectful people. After all she's been through, Boots deserves a loving forever home.
