My Story

Wow! This little fella is so darn cute, I have a feeling he won't last long with us. Now, he looks like some sort of special breed, wouldn't you say? I just can't decide if he's a Himalayan with Snowshoe coloring, or a Snowshoe with a Himalayan face! So I guess he's a Himalayshoe, or a Snowalayan. Your choice.

Time to get serious. Our dear friend Boots has had rather a rough life so far. Not for the usual rescue cat reasons. He has suffered from no fewer than five FUS episodes. FUS means a urinary tract blockage, often due to crystals in the urine. That's a lot of pain and a lot of medical care for this poor little boy. And he is small - less than 7 pounds.

So our poor friend, cute as he is, looks just a wee bit thin and ragged at the moment. We've got his urinary tract issues under control with a special diet, but he will probably need to be monitored carefully for the rest of his life. If you're the nurturing type, this is the boy for you.

I think if he were living at my house, monitoring would not be an issue. I think I'd have a hard time tearing my eyes away from that sweet, ragamuffin face!
