We are brother and sister, Blue and Bonnie, and here is our story as told by Blue…..
Early in May a kind lady who lives in the Hill Country saw our Mom carrying us outside and she realized a fox that lived nearby might be stalking us. Mom hid us in the hollow of a tree until the lady and her friends were able to rescue us. Then we stayed for a while in a large kennel in a horse barn with another kind lady feeding Mom and making friends with us as we got stronger and more curious about the humans. When we were old enough to eat solid foods and be on our own we moved to a foster home where we were able to get out of the kennel and roam the house. We are curious about everything. Sometime we get so excited playing together that we can’t quite make it through the doorway and crash into it. But we are tough and just keep going. I love to be held and scratched behind the ear. I follow my foster Mom around, run to her when she calls me and run to her when she comes in the door. My sister, Bonnie is a little more sedate with humans but she follows my lead and jumps on to my foster Mom’s lap to be held and scratched too. We also like to sleep on the bed with our Foster parents when they let us. The foster grandkids came to visit and we cautiously checked them out before we decided they could pick us up and pet us too. We even went on a car trip from Canyon Lake to Port Aransas for a week at the beach. We were really good in the car and slept most of the way. We always use our litter box even when the humans decide to change its location or take us on a trip. We love people and are looking for an inside home. We have been fixed and are anxious to have a permanent home.
