My Story

If you're looking for a couch potato kitten, BLURP might be your man. Blurp is a handsome black teenager kitten with a white spot on his belly who likes to watch the world go by from his kitty cave and take stock of his surroundings before jumping into the fray. He's curious yet cautious about new people and situations. He takes a long time to adjust to new surroundings, but once he's comfortable with you, it's gratifying to hear him purr. Blurp gets along terrifically with his siblings, especially Gamora. It takes time to earn his trust, but it's well worth the effort. Because he is scared in new situations, Blurp needs to be adopted by a patient person or family with previous cat experience, without young children. Blurp and his siblings were brought to our cat rescue by a park ranger who was trying to catch an adult stray but found a litter of kittens instead. As an active kitten, it's important that Blurp be adopted into a home with another kitten or playful young cat--he is especially close to his sister, Gamora, and he may enjoy going home with her or any of his other siblings. Blurp is a diamond in the rough, and if you give him a chance, he might just add some sparkle to your life. BLURP has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, is negative for FeLV and FIV, and includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners. To meet Blurp in foster care, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 business days for a possible meet and greet. The $155 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
