Biggie

Biggie is like a Big Baby. He looooves to be picked up and held. Often, he will stand up against your leg and hold on in order to get picked up (which can hurt unintentionally). If you noticed his unusual eyes in the photos, it's because he has a condition called entropion, where the eyelid turns in toward the eye. This caused his eyelashes to rub against the surface of his eye. He’s now had surgery to correct this and will feel much more comfortable. Biggie has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which weakens the immune system. However, cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives with proper care. Potential adopters should be willing to keep Biggie as an indoor-only cat, provide routine wellness exams through their veterinarian, and be alert to any changing health issues. FIV is primarily spread from one cat to another via deep bite wounds and is very rarely transferred via communal food bowls, litter boxes, or grooming. FIV-positive cats and FIV-negative cats can live together as long as there is no fighting among them. Biggie gets along well with the other cats in his housing unit. Biggie is available for the RAPS Foster-To-Adopt program, where adoption is confirmed once any medical needs are stabilized, and both cat and adopter are comfortable moving forward with a formal adoption. He is a total sweetheart and would love a home of his own.
