My Story

Two-year-old Stitch is a big, affectionate goofball who needs a home. He was one of two cats found abandoned in a vacated apartment. A neighbor took in the other one, leaving Stitch in need of a family. His foster mom describes him as a devoted, social, playful cat with epic zoomies. He's not a lap cat, but is definitely a curl-up-near-you cat, which is probably just as well because you'd need a pretty big lap for him. He's a gentle boy, but can sometimes get overstimulated from petting, so he wouldn't do well in a home with very young children, although we think he would do well with older kids who understand how to treat cats respectfully. He's friendly toward the other cat in his foster home except when trying to swipe the other one's food-- he's very food-motivated. He peacefully coexists with the dogs in his foster home; he's understandably a bit wary of them and keeps his distance, but he's gradually accepted them more, so we reason to believe he would be okay with a cat-friendly dog. Stitch should be adopted into an interactive home where he will get lots of play and won't be left unaccompanied for long. If you want a big, friendly lug who will be happy to just be near you, Stitch is your boy. He seems to be an easy cat who would be suitable for a first-time adopter. He has been: - neutered - given rabies and distemper vaccinations - tested negative for FeLV and FIV - treated for worms and fleas His adopter will receive his medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. He's being fostered in Medford. Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to him and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to [email protected]. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide for him as we try to match people with the right cats.
