ALL RED CATS ARE INDOOR ONLY
Meet Beyonce. This little girl has had the world throw its worst at her, and with RED's help, she has overcome so much. This girl is absolutely a little doll. Beautiful and kind, she loves adventuring through the house and pets/scratches. She an be a bit shy at first, but warms up to her people well. She would also appreciate going to a home with her sister, Solange. Beyonce had a congenital anomaly (a birth defect) that constricted her esophagus, (a stricture). Our team of vets, including multiple specialists determined the only way forward was surgery, or euthanasia. This girl was absolutely too special to not try to save, and so we fundraised, found a vet to do the surgery, and went from there. She was given time on a special soft food diet to grow, before she underwent a lateral thoracotomy. After much healing time, and time to see what her limitations would be after surgery, we have determined she has stabilized and is ready for adoption. There are some recommendations, that she should be on a kibble that is not rounded (she has been on Iams Healthy Kitten and done SUPERB). She also should continue to have soft, pate style canned food, without chunks. Since her surgery she has had no issues eating like before her surgery and we are all very happy with the outcome. Beyonce was born approximately 9-9-2023, and her surgery was performed 2-29-2024. Adoption Donation $250.00 to cover a tiny amount of her surgery, spay, xrays, transportations, hospital stay, etc.
