Bella's family in Waverly, Iowa, could no longer keep her. So Waverly Pet Rescue took her in. She is up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative, and spayed.
Bella is about 6-1/2 years old as of January 2024. She is very sweet, friendly, and loving. She enjoys attention and to be petted. She is not a total fan of being picked up and held so a home with no children would be best. She likes to be in your lap if it is her idea. She needs a home with no other cats and no dogs. She wants to be your only one!
11/14/18 UPDATE: Bella is a total sweetheart. She is a great cat and deserves a forever home. She deserves a human that will take the time to get to know her and to let her be herself. She likes to be petted but can get over-stimulated at times and then you need to stop petting her or she will nip your hand. This is common with many cats and not a big deal. A cat will give you signs of when they have had enough, swooshing of the tail, ears go back, etc. Bella needs a true cat person who understands this and will follow her cues. As with any cat, you may get bit if you continue to pet when a cat wants you to stop. Also, if she rolls to her back it is a trap. Do not pet her belly! haha. Bella is a princess and she desires a home that will treat her that way.
Bella's adoption fee is $95.00.

All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
