My Story

Update July 5: Bear is doing great in foster care, but he'd really love a permanent place to stay. He is diabetic, but his care is fairly routine once you are used to it. If you'd like to chat about him and get more info, give us a call or drop us a line. BEAR came in at the end of February as an owner surrender. Volunteers and staff noticed he was peeing a lot and tests indicated diabetes. Bear is an absolute sweetheart and we should talk. It has helped tremendously his diabetes, in getting his insulin levels settled, to have a calm environment. With one person monitoring him, it makes it a lot easier. Bear is a 6 year old kitty who came in on Feb 27, 2024 when his owner was no longer able to care for him. He was originally a friendly from a CARMA colony. Bear has very long hair and came in quite matted. He had a nice shave at the vets while he was getting his vaccines updated. Bear is a quiet and gentle large boy. If you are considering adopting Bear, please make sure that you know that he will need to be brushed regularly to prevent painful matts from forming.
