My Story

Bear and Gizmo are 6 month old male littermates who were abandoned when their owner’s house was foreclosed. For 2 weeks, these two kittens, their older brother, and their mother lived outside in the cold. They were lucky enough to be fed by kind neighbors, who were eventually able to bring them to a shelter. Both Bear and Gizmo have been neutered and vaccines are up-to-date. They are now being cared for by a foster family, where they are interacting well with two older female cats, and are awaiting a foreverhome where they can live together.

Bear is a brown tabby who’s playful and cuddly. He needs no time to warm up to new people, and shows immediate affection. He loves to be pet and to have his tummy rubbed. He also spends most of his time playing with his brother or fuzzy toys. He’s still getting used to the size of his body, and is clumsy with his big paws. He does well with other animals, and has a strong personality that makes him a leader among cats.

Gizmo is a cream tabby with a very different personality than his brother. He’s quite shy, and takes some time to get used to his surroundings. Once he does, he remains timid but is very active, especially with his brother. He seeks attention from humans, and enjoys being pet on his cheeks, sides and back, though he sometimes cowers away out of fear when pet on his head. Nonetheless, he does not hiss or scratch at humans or other cats, and simply walks away when he is scared to be pet. He is working on opening up to people in his foster home, and it seems that each day he becomes more engaged with people. With time and patience, Gizmo may become quite loving and cuddly, like his brother.

There is an adoption fee of $100 for adult cats and $125 for kittens. All cats and kittens will be spay/neutered prior to adoption. For kittens that are too young, a spay/neuter certificate will be included. Email or call for more details or to arrange a visit.
