Bea When I first arrived at HSHC as a stray, I was just a nine-week-old kitten. In the foster home with my littermates, I was always the shyest. My foster mom said I would warm up and become braver with patience. I got adopted one month later! I was with my owner for nine months before the landlord had issues with my living there. My owner had to surrender me on May 3. I am now 1-year-old, a 7-pound black and white girl, spayed and excellent at using my litterbox. I was chosen to move to the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe, which was a bit scary! All new people, cats, and surroundings! However, they had this fantastic big tree in the main room, and I discovered I could climb into its branches and feel safe and comfortable. I also found the support beams up there to be great places to perch. I enjoyed being up so high, out of the hubbub. In the early morning, when it was still dark, one of the staff members saw me perched up there, and my eyes looked as big as saucers! I watched the interviewer lady (IL) moving from cat to cat and talking with them. When she called hello up to me, I glanced at her and turned around. I'm back at the HSHC now, in a small two-room apartment, and I enjoy hiding behind my litterbox. Like my foster mom said when I was just a wee kitten, I'll visit with you when I feel confident.
