My Story

Barney lives in his foster home. Please contact his foster Mom at [email protected] Barney came to us with a severe wound to his face and eye. He has recovered beautifully and is ready for his furever home! He LOVES snuggling and would do best in a quiet home with someone who is there most of the time. He seems interested in cats, but has not had a lot of interaction with them. His injuries were likely caused by another animal, so he may want to be an only cat. Barney is FIV+, which means that he is immune-compromised. FIV is only transmissible through deep bite wounds and mating. He won't be seducing the ladies and is an indoor-only cat, so the risk is minimal. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $50 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion. Please visit our website at sheltertohome.com for information on our adoption process.**
