My Story

Do you have a barn, stable, or other location that could use working cats? You can save a cat and control the local rodent population at the same! Barn Cats (also known as Working Cats) are typically feral or semi-feral cats who cannot be returned to the location they were found for some reason. These cats aren't meant for a life as housepets and choose to limit their interactions with humans. They may be fearful, shy, or aggressive. However, the amount varies from cat to cat and can change over time. Working cats often develop strong bonds with other working cats, so the Urban Cat Coalition adopts working cats out in pairs (or threes or fours, etc!). We will walk you through and help with the cats’ transition period to your property. Apply here if you are interested in adopting barn cats: http://bit.ly/AdoptUCCWorkingCats All cats are altered, microchipped, vaccinated, and treated for fleas/mites. (The cat pictured is a working cat who already has a home.) All cats are altered, microchipped, dewormed and given age appropriate vaccinations.
