Barbara was originally adopted out to someone from the ARL in Des Moines, but for some unknown reason, was found wandering loose around Spring Lake Park and then ended up at the shelter in Jefferson. Barbara is microchipped, but we have had no success in contacting her previous owner, so she is up for adoption again. Barbara believes she is the Queen of Everything, so needs to be in a home where everyone else is in agreement with that! She will do best in a home with no other animals and no small children. Barbara is both silly and sassy. She likes to play and be petted, but only on her terms, and when she no longer wants to be petted, her people need to respect that, which is why we are suggesting no small children with her. In the right home she will be a wonderful, calm companion. All PAWS cats must keep their claws, no declawing please:)
