BACI

Baci’s family love her dearly, but are unable to keep her. They adopted 7 year old Baci from a shelter as a 13 week old kitten, and named her after an Italian chocolate. (Baci in Italian means ‘kiss’.) As you can see by her photo she grew into a beautiful cat. Baci is spayed, her front paws are declawed, and she is up-to-date on her shots. Her last vet visit was February 2005. We are told she is a lap cat, and loves attention, and when she needs some petting she will come and find you. …..But Baci doesn’t always get along with their other cat, and has attacked “Shamrock,” her housemate, on several occasions. Other than Baci being the dominant cat, the trigger for these attacks have never been determined. After trying separation and re-introduction, medications, and sprays, the vet suggested de-clawing as well as filing her teeth down (which does not impact on her eating). Since Baci has also ‘gone after’ family members - twice when trying to break up fights between the two cats – they are concerned for their two small children. (One is just crawling and the other is a 2-1/2 year old eager to play). Although Baci has never harmed the children, they do not want to risk their safety with the possibility of their being in the way of a cat fight. Rather than keep Baci locked away in a basement or small room isolated from any companionship, they have chosen to find her a new home. Baci must be placed as an only pet, and can only be placed in an adult household. ……..NOTE: THE WOAWL HAS BEEN ASKED TO HELP BY POSTING BACI.
