Aurora

Meet Aurora, a 1-month-old female Domestic Shorthair. Aurora has been a sweet kitten and loves playing with her siblings and toys. Her and her siblings and mama cat came to the shelter as owner surrenders. They all use their litterbox well and enjoys curling up on their comfy bed after getting loved on by staff and volunteers! Please remember that Auora is a kitten and kitten behavior comes with the package. They need lots of toys and places to scratch to learn good scratching habits. They also need patience as they finesse their litter box skills in a new home they are unfamiliar with. They are all currently at the Ellensburg location and will be available soon for adoption! A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known.
