Oh to possess the elusive beauty of a white tipped tail; to be adored, petted, fawned over and yes blessing of all blessings, adopted. You see, those of us with a common black tail will always be overshadowed by our white-tipped counterparts.
For, I speak from experience not just hearsay. My brother, that wicked white-tipped beast, was adopted the second he twitched his oh-so-blessed tail and winked at the pretty lady. I, on the other hand, sat in that miserable cage day after day, charming people with my personality but repelling them with my ordinary old black tail.
Therefore, I have brilliantly deduced that I too shall have a white-tipped tail. Dipping my tail in milk proved futile for the smell was too tempting, so alas I licked away every last drop. Inspiration struck again and it was not hard to persuade my mischievous sister to assist me in my endeavor to achieve the elusive white-tipped status. The plan you see was to give me such a fright, that it would shock my stubborn black tail so badly as to turn the tip white.
So one afternoon after I had finished my business, I suddenly heard a ferocious bark emanating from the vicinity of the litter box and quickly I turned to see my dainty little sis, jaws wide open, impersonating a fierce, burly canine...
Well, she did the job, I am happy to say that I am now the proud owner of a white-tipped tail. It may not be the prettiest white-tipped tail, but its all mine...all eight white hairs proclaim me adoptable!
A word from my foster mom: Atticus is the sweetest little kitten, he is extremely playful and loves to cuddle and purr. Atticus along with his brothers and sisters were found in an abandoned building in downtown Lufkin next to the railroad tracts. He is approx. 8 weeks old, house trained, current with shots, parasite free, and is the last of his litter to need a home. Thus, his ideology that having a white tipped tail will make him loveable and adoptable. If you look carefully, you will see that Atticus too has a minute white tipped tail, which he is ever so proud of.

UPDATE: Atticus has found a wonderful home with a great adopter!
