Birthday: April 4, 2024
Athena may have been named after the Greek goddess, but she's an angel in disguise! Although, sharing the same name with the person who was known for their heroic endeavors is just as fitting! Regardless, we all can agree that this little girl is the cutest little fluffball we've seen!
Athena and her sisters were abandoned along highway 11/15 in a burnt-out restaurant, along with their mother. When the mother left her daughters temporarily, she was struck by a passing vehicle, killing her in the process. The litter was left alone with no one to care for them. That was when a good Samaritan discovered the litter and contacted one of LCCR's fosters for assistance. Upon meeting them, they exhibited an incredibly friendly disposition, which lead the rescuers to believe that they were once indoors.
Athena is hoping that her future family will understand that she doesn't want to be an only kitty. She would really love in one of her sisters went too, or if that's not possible, have another playful kitty waiting for her at home! With her sparkling outgoing personality, it's hard to deny her a buddy! She enjoys her time with humans to the point where she can bear the thought of leaving them alone for too long. In fact, her foster has placed a padded mat next to her bed, just so Athena can feel like she's close by. Every now and again, Athena will sneak her way on to the bed to snuggle next to her foster! She may not be a fan of being held, but she is an absolute treasure who will purr you the song of her people! Just give her a bit of loving! You'll see for yourself!
Athena's adoption donation is $175 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay.
