This dear and plump little girl is Ashley.
Ashley pads about on her tiny feet and regards the world with a mixture of humor, love and curiosity. She has wonderfully direct eye contact, and a marvelously happy disposition.
Ashley has a delightful personality; she is filled with funny little ways, and she would bring immense joy to an adoptive home in which she could once again sit on the window sill blinking sleepily in the sun, or jump softly into a lap to have her head and ears rubbed.
Ashley loves to play with any toy; she loves to perch on the back of a chair or curl up in her kitty condo. A very responsive cat, she comes eagerly to her name, or her favorite cue, "Here, Kitty, Kitty" which always preceded the arrival of breakfast and dinner, her most beloved moments of the day. It is clear that Ashley is a very good eater; although she has been on Science Diet RD for 3 years, she has not lost an ounce, and we think she is exactly as she was meant to be - a happy and ample girl.
She is fastidious in her use of a litter box, and she has also in her former life been allowed some access to the outdoors. On those special occasions she imagines herself quite the huntress as she watches birds and tries her best to tiptoe after them, never quite realizing that she is actually a bit heavier on her feet than she thinks.
Ashley is an outgoing and stable cat; in her former life she lived most amicably with dogs, children and many comings and goings, all of which she enjoyed. She was surrendered to Hedgesville Hounds because of her former human's health issues, and we all regard her rehoming as a very precious trust. She deserves a second chance, and she would reward that opportunity with great devotion.
