Ashes is one of the founders of his breed, the "Curly Tail Cat." Unfortunately, Petfinder has yet to list them as a breed, because they are so new. Like many breeds with unusual features, Ashes' life began in a colony shut off from the rest of the world. Unfortunately, this colony happened to be within the home of a cat hoarder, and had to be confiscated by the health department.
Now they are safe and sound, here at Helping PAWS and also at Catkins Animal Rescue. The Rare and Exotic Breed Registry has made them a registerable breed, and Ashes can be registered!
