When a family was missing their silver tabby and found Asher outside, they thought he was their cat! They brought him to the vet for a check up since they thought he had been missing, and while Asher was at the vet for that check up, they FOUND THEIR ACTUAL CAT. They didn't know what to do with Asher after they found their actual cat, and they asked the vet to find him a home. So the vet asked us to take Asher. That was in 2022. Asher lives in our Free Roam room with other adult cats, and has had a lot of roommates over the 2 years that he's been with us. With every roommate he's had, he's became obsessed with them. He loves to try to sleep in beds with the other cats, and is sad when the other cat gets out of the bed and doesn't want to cuddle. He loves to have other cats groom his head, and he adores grooming them back. TRULY, Asher PREFERS other cats. Asher is a quiet boy, he doesn't come to the door or meow for attention but will accept attention when you give it to him. We believe the reason Asher has been overlooked all this time is because he's shy with new people, and everyone wants a social cat and doesn't want to give the shy cat a chance. But we promise you, if you sit down on the ground with Asher, he will love your pets! Once he gets comfortable in your home, he'll be joining you on the couch for movie nights!
