Angel has a sad story with a happy ending. She was apparently hit by a car while pregnant. Her leg was hanging off, bones protruding and obviously in pain. She had 4 kittens under a trailer and nursed them daily. She would leave in search of food until she just couldn't go on. Her 4 kits were rescued and are at St TAMMANY animal services. The trailer park manager located her, trapped her and we brought her to STPDAS. Dr Johnston and the medical staff there amputated her right rear leg and nursed her back to health. Thru all of this, she is a gentle, calm sweetheart.
