Alvin

Handsome Alvin is about 9-years-old and came to the RAPS Cat Sanctuary as a stray. When he arrived, he was unneutered, had bad teeth and a had pellet lodged in his back area, so life hasn’t always been easy for this sweet boy. Alvin is a friendly guy and loves attention and lap-time. However, he occasionally experiences petting aggression, which means he may become agitated during prolonged petting sessions. It’s important for Alvin to find a human who can read his signals and give him space when needed. Alvin is also in the early stages of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Ideally, a cat with CKD should be on a special diet but given our setup it’s not possible without caging him – what Alvin needs is a home where he can get the special food he requires. Alvin would be a good candidate for the RAPS Foster-To-Adopt program, where adoption is confirmed once any medical needs are stabilized, and both cat and adopter are comfortable moving forward with a formal adoption.
