My Story

Tango is an independent green wing macaw looking for a loving forever home. Tango came from a rough home situation, but is now a healthy weight and ready for adoption to the right home. We do not have an age on Tango, but believe that Tango is at least 30 years old. We do not know if Tango is a male or female, but the veterinarian believes that Tango is female based on a slight hernia. The veterinarian said that the hernia does not need surgery, but does need to be monitored. Tango does have a large toe and nail on one foot from what we believe is a past injury. Despite everything this bird has been through, Tango is still a very loving and loyal bird with a wonderful personality. Tango just needs the right family that will show love and patience. Tango eats Roudybush pellets. Tango's adoption fee is $800. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please visit our website, www.larrsrescueandsanctuary.com, and click on the "Our Animals" tab. Once there, please fill out our Bird Adoption Application. Please remember to do your research before applying. Answering the questions in the application with "whatever is recommended" will disqualify you as an applicant and will not receive a response. We want to place our animals in loving forever homes who understand the responsibilities of taking care of an exotic animal. ****** PLEASE READ BEFORE SENDING AN INQUIRY: We do not ship any of our animals. Animals do not include enclosures. The adoption fee is not negotiable - your adoption fee helps us to be able to carry out our mission and provide for all of our adoptable animals as well as continue our mission of education on exotic birds and reptiles.
