AnyBehaviorIssues :
Taco will bite, he does not understand. He lives in a cage and becomes frustrated easily because this is simply no life. He asks for food or snacks by shaking his bowl, but only if he sees someone eating, not when food isn't around. He rarely screams but he will make sounds in frustration of his life. He will also bite his wing or mutilate his longest tail feathers when he is frustrated.
He needs someone to spend time with him enriching his life, and I believe he will come around. I can tell he has great potential. Please ask me any questions if I havent provided insight into certain things.
Reason :
This is my mother's parrot, she has had him for a long time. He bonded to my dad before my parents divorced. My dad never liked any animals and while he spent a short time w Taco, did not take him when he moved. My mom has kept him in a cage ever since.. I have begged her for years to do something and now that she has her own challenges as she ages and I'm older, she is trusting me to find a better option for Taco. He seriously deserves a much more stimulating life. I wish I could spend the time to rehabilitate, but I am someone who has to work long hours to make ends meet and educating myself and providing consistent care is just not feasible. There is nobody else in my family, we are small and most of my older family has passed.
