Sunshine is a 25 year old DNA-sexed female Blue and Gold Macaw. She is tame and handleable and in good feather. She is a woman's bird; she does not like men! She was thoroughly vet checked including bloodwork.
PLEASE NOTE: Adoption applications for any Macaws will not be considered unless the applicant has previous large bird experience. Because large birds are so intelligent and have specific needs to live a happy life, we require their adopters to have personal experience living with/caring for large birds. If applying, please be prepared to detail personal experience.
Sunshine's adoption fee is $900.
If you are interested in adoption, please go to www.centerforanimalrehab.org, read our Adoption Policies, and fill out the Adoption Application. Once your application is approved, we will set up a meet and greet with you/your family.
We are located in Waukesha, WI and do not ship. All adopters must live within a 100 mile radius. We do not adopt birds to households that have the opposite gender birds.
