Sumac

Sumac’s eyes tell the stories of generations. Deep and wise, holding all of the history of Pigeons, stretching across thousands of years as one of the first animals domesticated by humans. Sumac also carries the history of his own challenging beginnings, when he was found bedraggled in downtown Chicago, struggling to survive as an abandoned fancy Pigeon. But fortunately, hands lifted Sumac to safety and carried him to where he would be safe and appreciated. Where he is cherished for the individual he is, with his own unique and precious personality. Where he is never a number, and was given a name worthy of his noble bearing! Just like the spice, Sumac the pigeon is mellow, yet complex. Adaptable, at home in nearly any setting. Warm and subtle, yet also bright and energetic, like a lingering note of citrus! And the one place where Sumac will truly shine, like no other, will be his very own loving foster or adoptive home!
