Update 1/23/22: Unfortunately, Slim's mate, Sunny, developed some reproductive issues and we had to separate the couple, something we do only as a last resort. Sunny is doing well, and Slim is now an eligible bachelor who will soon be wooing a new lady bird.
Slim, an amiable little homer pigeon, is married to Sunny, a German Owl hen. They're a strong little pair that can hold their own in an aviary. These two are extremely sweet with each other and fun to watch, and they also keep a tidy nestbox! Neither one is hand-tame but we think they have great potential to be.
