Hi, I’m Salem! I am a pied colored Cockatiel with a magnificent crest! I was born on March 25, 2018. I am an easy-going bird who would love to find my forever home. I am a very cute and chill little guy. I enjoy having my cage door open all day so I can come in and out of my cage as I please. I love to go to the top of my cage to walk around and see all the "happenings" around me. Another thing that makes me the happiest is whistling and singing! My favorite 2 songs that I mash together, and sing is the Andy Griffith theme song with the Addams Family theme song. I love to just sing to myself, and my foster mom says I sing the most beautiful songs! One thing to know about me is that I do not like hands and will act like Mr. Grumpy Pants if you put your hands near me. I just beak my foster mom and it does not hurt, but I will definitely warn you by opening my beak and lunging. I am just timid, but I am content with just hanging out on my own while I can see you and do not need to be on you. But guess what?! My foster mom learned the key to my heart and it's whistling back to me! Even more so when it's my foster dad whistling to me! I just really come out of my shell when he comes up to my cage and whistles. But I enjoy whistling from anyone who wants to whistle to me. I love it so much that even when I get grumpy, once I hear the whistling, I melt and come close to people and will preen their eyelashes and eyebrows! It's important that my adopter/primary caregiver knows how to whistle and enjoys whistling to me! I am very easy-going as I prefer to be on my own and just sing all day and watch the world around me. I do not have any interest in the other foster birds in my home, so I would do great as an only bird. I am not scared or bothered by the dogs in my foster home.   Any males out there who is looking for a chill guy who loves to sing? I'm your bird!
