Roxy

Roxy is foxy, and she's eager to show you! She's a female umbrella cockatoo under the age of 8, so she's got plenty of energy to spare. She currently lives with other female cockatoos, but hasn't formed any strong bonds, so she could potentially be adopted to a home with another female. Roxy has a few, ahem, attachment issues, and became very over-bonded with her former owner which led to an increase of hormones that she has had to have implants to manage. She's not known to be aggressive, although an owner with some experience on handling a bird prone to over-bonding and a more hands-off approach would be best. A cage of, AT MINIMUM, 62" (preferably 80x40) will be required. Bonus points for an additional outdoor aviary. $200 of Roxy's adoption fee will go to enrolling her new family in Level One and The Parrot Project at The Animal Behavior Center to provide plenty of online support and educated guidance. ***If you're interested in Roxy please fill out an application at http://heartcockatooranch.org, and provide a home video of the main areas she'll be living.
