Hello, I am Raphael. I'm a Catalina Macaw, a hybrid between a Scarlet and a Blue and Gold. I pluck when agitated, but when I'm calm, I much prefer to chew on my wooden toys. I am bold, strong willed, and highly intelligent.
However, I don't like people that much. It will take someone with a lot of patience and determination to bring out my sweet side. I do have a sweet side. I am curious, and like watching people work. If someone's eating something, I'll want to try a little, even if it's healthy. And if someone's sitting quietly nearby, well, I kind of enjoy that and might sit quietly nearby too.
