My Story

How this pet arrived: Peter Pan was brought into care by Humane Law Enforcement on July 9, 2024.Why this pet is the one for you:This is Peter Pan! Quails are omnivorous, primarily eating seeds, but they also consume insects and other small animals. An appropriate habitat will provide them with shelter similar to their natural environment. Peter Pan will appreciate somewhere dark to lay and an area with grasses, conifer sticks, and maybe a small log for them to tuck away. Proper ventilation is important for health and safety. Quails are not keen on climbing and spend most of their time on the ground, but can fly vertically if startled and will require housing that contains them - keep in mind that quail can startle easily and will appreciate slow and deliberate movements. Like most quail, Peter Pan does not prefer to be handled and extra care is required when necessary. Quails are not considered starter pets, so we recommend doing research and having a habitat set up before coming in to adopt. Many quail species are social and can be seen in groups called covey. If you are interested in Peter Pan, bring a secure carrier to bring them home today! Primary Color: Gold Weight: 0.22kg
